Tourism Vernon’s recent open house brought in over 120 attendees, all keen to hear the latest news, updates and plans for the region.
Speakers included City of Vernon’s Manager of Economic Development & Tourism Kevin Poole with an update of Vernon’s tourism economy, Ange Chew & Torrie Silverthorn from outlining Tourism Vernon’s role, Teresa Durning talking about the Visitor’s Centre, Matt Ball discussing Vernon’s building mountain bike destination status, Claus Larsen covering China’s tourism market, and Mike Overend and Carla Young from the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association with a marketing overview and sustainability topics.
Capping off the open house, Mayor Cumming stopped by to lend his thoughts on the progress of Vernon’s tourism industry.
